A collection designed for the modern woman

In the world of fashion, few brands manage to combine elegance, comfort, and artisanal craftsmanship. With In Corio, discover a range of leather shoes for women that redefine sophistication and comfort. Whether you're a fan of refined city shoes or prefer the relaxed style of sneakers, the In Corio collection adapts to your style and needs.

A variety of styles: from urban sneakers to elegant boots

The diversity of the In Corio collection makes it easy to find a model that fits seamlessly into your wardrobe. Sneakers for a casual chic look, Chelsea boots for a bold touch, loafers for a timeless style, or black patent leather derbies for subtle elegance: there is something for every taste. The brand also offers a wide variety of materials: full-grain leather, Italian suede, and different finishes to suit every occasion. Still unsure? Take advantage of sliding scale prices to treat yourself and share the experience with friends.

The choice of materials: full-grain calfskin and Italian suede

Authenticity is an essential value at In Corio. Each pair is crafted from full-grain calfskin, a noble material that ensures not only exceptional durability but also unparalleled comfort. As for the suede, it comes from the best Italian tanneries, offering a soft texture and elegant look that enhances any outfit. These material choices allow the creation of shoes that stand the test of time while remaining incredibly comfortable to wear. Full-grain leather and suede are breathable and naturally flexible materials, perfect for everyday use.

Unmatched comfort and ergonomics

In Corio has left nothing to chance when it comes to comfort. The brand integrates three key elements in each pair to offer you an unmatched walking experience. The ergonomic fit, specifically developed for the brand, perfectly contours the shape of the foot, reducing pressure points. Next, the stitching technique used to firmly attach the soles guarantees optimal flexibility. Finally, the unique cushioning is achieved with a high-density latex midsole that absorbs shocks and makes every step softer.

Portuguese craftsmanship: expertise and excellence

In Corio shoes are the result of meticulous craftsmanship, made in family-run workshops in Portugal. This choice is not accidental: Portugal is renowned for its expertise in high-end footwear manufacturing. This artisanal process ensures not only quality but also ethical production that adheres to the highest standards of the footwear industry.

Dive into the In Corio universe

By choosing In Corio, you're investing in more than just a pair of shoes. You are entering a universe where elegance meets expertise, and where every detail matters to make each pair a symbol of style and comfort. Discover the collection now and let yourself be captivated by the exceptional quality of these shoes designed to last.

A good pair of leather shoes is one you forget you are wearing, and still wear years later. For those who build a tailored chic wardrobe as for those who walk a lot, here is how to choose your leather shoes and look after them.

Why choose leather shoes for women?

Because leather is a living material: it breathes, softens with wear, takes the shape of the foot and lasts for years when well chosen and well cared for. No synthetic material offers this combination of comfort and longevity.

In Corio, "in leather" in Latin

Our name sums up our craft: in corio means "in leather" in Latin. The house was founded in 2018 by Guilhem and Charles-Louis, with a simple idea: to offer leather shoes made in family-run workshops, at a fair price, by selling them with no middleman. Our women's collection applies this idea to every shape, from the loafer to the sandal.

Which women's leather shoes should you choose for your days?

The simplest approach is to start from how you will use them: a women's loafer for the week, an ankle boot for winter, a trainer for the weekend, a sandal for summer. Four well-chosen pairs cover most of the year.

Family	Our models	Sole	For which occasions	Price
Loafers	Adélaïde, Inès	Notched rubber or leather	Office, everyday in town	€199 to €229
Boots and ankle boots	Margaux, Albane, Sonia, Clémence	Lugged rubber or leather	Autumn-winter, walking, office	€259 to €329
Trainers	Edmond, Maxime	Stitched recycled rubber	Weekend, travel, everyday	€169
Sandals, ballet flats, court shoes	Cécile, Émilie, Carla, Perrine, Anna, Silvia	Leather	Sunny days, evenings, ceremonies	€189 to €219
Lace-up shoes	Diane, boat shoe	Leather with rubber insert	Spring-summer, weekend	€199

For the week

Our women's loafers are the most versatile pair: Adélaïde, on a notched rubber sole and a low 2.5 cm heel, goes with a trouser suit as well as with jeans; Inès, in lizard-print leather on a leather sole, takes over in summer.

For autumn and winter

Margaux, a women's lace-up ankle boot, and Albane, a Chelsea boot, sit on a lugged rubber sole that grips wet pavements. Sonia, with a zip, adds a 4 cm heel; Clémence, a boot with a 7.5 cm heel, dresses up a dress or straight jeans.

For sunny days

The strappy sandals Cécile, the braided sandal Émilie, the flat sandal Carla with hand-braided straps, the Anna ballet flats or the Perrine ballerina go with summer, from the office to evenings out. Diane, our boat shoe, and the Edmond trainers complete a holiday wardrobe.

How to recognise a quality leather shoe?

Three points are enough to judge a pair: the nature of the leather, the construction of the sole and the interior materials. They can be checked in a store as well as on a product page.

Full-grain leather keeps the original surface of the hide: it is more resistant and develops a patina over time, whereas corrected or synthetic leather marks and cracks. A stitched sole can be repaired, a merely glued sole far less so. Finally, a leather lining and insole let the foot breathe and prevent dampness.

Why are our women's shoes comfortable?

Because comfort is built on three elements that we work on for every pair: the last, the cushioning and the flexibility.

Our ergonomic last, developed with our craftsman lastmakers, follows the natural curves of the foot and stays identical from one model to the next. The leather insole sits on a latex comfort foam, which cushions the impact of the heel and distributes body weight between the heel, the arch and the ball of the foot. Supple leathers, finally, avoid a long breaking-in period. In this way, In Corio combines comfort, certified leathers and the craftsmanship of the Porto region, at a fair price.

How to care for your leather shoes?

A simple, regular ritual extends the life of your shoes by several years. Here is the one we suggest:

Slip cedar shoe trees into your shoes as soon as you take them off: cedar absorbs moisture and keeps their shape.
Let each pair rest for a day between wearings.
Nourish smooth leather with a nourishing cream, brush suede dry with a brass brush, wipe patent leather with a soft cloth.

Not sure about your women's size? Come and try our models and feel our leathers in our stores in the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés or Lyon. Online, returns and exchanges are free.

Frequently asked questions about women's leather shoes

Is In Corio a French brand?

Yes. In Corio is a French brand founded in 2018, with stores in Paris and Lyon. Our shoes are made in family-run workshops in the Porto region of Portugal, with leathers from European tanneries all certified by the Leather Working Group.

Which leather shoes should you choose for winter?

We suggest an ankle boot or a loafer on a notched rubber sole: rubber insulates from the cold ground and grips on wet surfaces. A smooth leather that is regularly nourished withstands rain well.

How to soften new leather shoes?

Wear them at first for a few hours a day, with a thin sock, and slip cedar shoe trees into them after each wearing. A nourishing cream applied to the upper softens the leather. With supple leather and a well-chosen last, the breaking-in period stays very short.

In summary

A loafer for the week, an ankle boot for winter, a trainer for the weekend and a sandal for summer cover most of the year. With an ergonomic last, a comfort foam under the sole, stitched soles and Leather Working Group certified leathers, our women's leather shoes combine elegance and comfort. Discover our models above.
