In Corio’s mission is to offer you shoes that are elegant, of course, but also comfortable. The indications given below will enable you to find the right size for your shoes and the relevant accessories easily.

The golden rule at In Corio: Simply choose your usual dress shoe size. We have designed a consistent fit: once you find your size, it will remain the same for all our models.

Are you between two sizes?

Classic shoes: Choose the half-size above (e.g., between 9 and 9.5, choose 9.5).
Sneakers: Choose the size below (e.g., between 8 and 9, choose 8).
Used to sneakers (Nike, Adidas...)? These brands run large. Choose one full size smaller for your In Corio shoes (e.g., a size 10 in sneakers becomes a size 9 with us).

MEN’S SHOE SIZES: THE EQUIVALENTS TO REMEMBER

Our men’s shoes are made in UK sizes: the US size is the UK size plus one, and the European size is the UK size plus 33 to 35 depending on the size. A few reference points for the most common sizes:

A UK 8 corresponds to a European 42 and a US 9.
A UK 9 corresponds to a European 43 and a US 10.
A UK 10 corresponds to a European 44.5 and a US 11.

Our men’s range runs from UK 6 to UK 11.5, or European 39 to 46.5: enough to cover both small and large sizes, for our classic shoes, our boots and our sneakers.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR FOOT TO FIND YOUR SIZE

The “Japan” line of our guide corresponds to the length of the foot in centimetres: simply measure your foot to find your In Corio size.

Measure preferably at the end of the day, when the foot is at its largest.
Stand with your foot flat on a sheet of paper, heel against a wall, and mark the end of your longest toe.
Measure the distance in centimetres, for each foot, and keep the larger measurement.
Transfer this measurement to the “Japan” line of the table: a 27 cm foot therefore corresponds to a UK 8.5, or a European 42.5.

If the measurement falls between two values, the rule remains the same: half a size up for a classic shoe, a size down for a sneaker.

CHOOSING YOUR SIZE ACCORDING TO THE MODEL

Thanks to our consistent fit, the size stays the same from one model to the next; it is the feel when you try them on that varies with the construction of the shoe.

Richelieu: with its closed lacing, it holds the foot firmly. A snug feel across the instep is normal; the full-grain leather softens from the first wears.
Derby: its open lacing offers more ease, particularly for broad feet or a high instep.
Loafer: without laces, it should be chosen so that it holds well at the heel. Its leather relaxes slightly with wear.
Boots and Chelsea boots: the same size is suitable, even with thicker wool socks in winter, thanks to the suppleness of the leather.
One single exception to the rule: our models with a commando sole (Luc, Edgard, Jules), which have a more generous fit. In this case take half a size smaller than your usual size.

In every case, the high-density latex sole and the ergonomic shape of our shoes provide immediate comfort, with no breaking-in period.

ACCESSORIES

In Corio cedar shoe trees are designed with articulated parts that keep your shoes under ideal tension at all times. They thus preserve the original shape and appearance of your shoes over time. Thanks to their flexible design, each pair of shoe trees effectively adjusts to several sizes.

In Corio socks (Cotton Lisle or Merino Wool) also have the necessary flexibility to comfortably fit several foot sizes.
